There’s no need to see constant a reminder of your ex. I had my first love in college. We changed our relationship status on Facebook to “in a relationship.”

Once the relationship was over, we no longer displayed our relationship status. It was a tough reminder to see that it was over.

We kept being friends on there too. I’d still see her status updates, new pictures, and whatever else she posted.

My story of letting someone go

During my college years, I was in a long-term relationship that lasted almost two years. It was my first serious one and we grew to feel love for each other.

    How to get your mind off of someone? I’ve asked that question a bunch of times at a young age. Whatever you do, do you still believe? Yes. It is hard to let a person go, but they need their space. Let the person slide a little because you have to trust them that you will come back together. It may be hard, but try to do the things you love to get your mind off of that person. If they are special, or not you will have to let go at some point. Just believe that you will come back together again. Change the future and forget the past. Trust them and yourself. You can change the future, but can’t take back the past. Forgetting is a harder choice than forgiving, but sometimes you’ll have to take the risk in life. Go with the flow and let life take you. Never let yourself down. Even if you are sad keep your head up and smile. Think of someone that you love, but just know that person will come to love you.

      I started letting go once I saw how life started passing me by and I was stuck in the same situation. And realized that people stop dealing with me because of this person. I missed blessings because of this individual. I have been slowly trying to pull away past few months. I started fasting from their presence and any contact whether physical or over the phone. I was literally delivered from my feelings from this person jn a matter of a week. All I can say is praying and fasting help and without God I wouldn’t be able to get pass this obstacle.

Usually, rebound relationships are extremely detrimental to the reboundee… you shouldn’t force your pain and trauma onto another to “escape” your own.
